Synthetic in the motor, tranny and diff will give about 3-4rwhp increase
is that true or is the wink sarcasim?
With a few basic mods under your belt you should see roughly that gain from adding synth to m/t/d. Probably see a slight mpg increase with it also

I am using Royal Purple Sychromax in my 5sp (NV3500) and it too is great. I immediately noticed the tranny is quieter and shifts much smoother.

The NV3500 is supposed torun only the Mopar Manual Tranny fluid which is like $16.00 a quart from Mopar, but I found a few posts on other Jeep sites where guys were using the Royal Purple Sychromax in their NV3500 and found they shifted much smoother and had less gear noise soI tried it and it worked!

BTW the Synchromax is $9.99 a quart from NAPA.

is the synchromax good for all atf? i was reading the lable on whatever the trans fluid was that was at the store i was at today, and it said it was only for merc 3/4/5 replacements. idk if it was synchromax, or not, it didnt click with me to remember the name.

edit:: i just checked their site and it does say you can use it

i got 5 qts. of the MAX-ATF sitting next to me along with an ATP filter kit.

the RP bottle says "reccomended for use in 2005 and older vehicles requiring dexronIII/Mercon"

A note on Royal Purple...it's a good oil, but it doesn't seem to resist shearing as well as some of the other synthetics on the market, so stick with changing it every 3500-5000 miles instead of the 10,000-12,000 mile claim. I used to use RP in my WS6 Formula (LS1 V8) but switched to Penzoil Platinum synthetic on a tip from some other Firebird owners...I'm much happier with it than I was with RP...I had a noticeable temp drop even from RP and the oil stays really stable, and it's not nearly as expensive. I still use RP in my transmission and differential, however.
