ok another question on adjusting the idle...how did you get the "plug" out of the TB (the first pic on this http://www.bionicdodge.com/Download/...a%20Magnum.pdf) and do you use a torxsocket to adjust it?

Ijust went outside and drove it to where it was at operating temp. and put it in park and it idles at 700 rpm's. I shut it off and turned it on a couple of times and it would go to 1000 or 1100 rpms and then drop to 400 or 500 rpms and then come to 700 rpms all in about 3 seconds.

Does any of this help?

I adjusted it with a torx, and IIRC I used a centerpunch and needle nose plyers to get the plug out

Blue smoke out the exhaustis oil is it not? That's probably from the plenum leak. Sounds like your leak might be pretty severe.

Mopowar I did the adjustment last night and it WOKE [sm=yikesomg.gif]my truck up...it has way better starts and throttle response. When I first tried to do it and stuck my finger where the IAC is it would just die...so I turned up the idle and finally got it to work and the truck idles awesome.

on a side note I took the TB off also and did not see any oil...just black "carbon".

I am not sure if it fixed it or not (need to run the truck a while and see) but I know it definitely helped it.

THANKS MOPWAR [sm=thanx.gif]and everyone else who came up with ideas and sticking with me through all of this....this forum rocks...I wish I could find one like this for my boat (2003 Glastron GX185)

Glad to help. Still, unless you plan on hooking up with an amish chick and doing the horse and buggy thing, you ought to work on getting that scanner.

the is a speed idle sensor some where, this takes into account the amount of spin the trans puts on the engine, and adjusts idle accordingly. see i fyou can find that and adjust/ replace as nessacary

Mopowar - It is my next thing to get...would the scanner have told me this?

Another question I have is I just picked up the valve check replacements for our truck and which way do they go?I can blow through one side only...does the side you can blow through go towards or away from the engine?

Do you have to replace the plug after you removed it?
