Anyone know whats goin on here?
I think i might have a leak somewhere... and im pretty sure that u joint is goin bad. I get a loud click and chirp from that side (driver front). I just had the bearing assembly replaced 3 weeks ago. Someone assure my theories... Im gonna have that u joint replaced this week, will it stop the clicking?

it is percivable that if you swap out the u joint it could stop, because it may have a worn needle bearing not big enough to push on the cap and the center. The needle does not keep the cap away from the center then when the joint flexes, like when you turn, that cap snaps agains the needle bearing. does it have a grease fitting, if so fill it with grease and see if it stops untill hot then leaks out.
yea im thinkin the axle seal is leakin, its such a PITA to get to to repair. No the joint doesnt have a grease fitting, i have a new joint i just gotta take it in to get it done.

Ya, it was hard to write the $800 check to have the front axle seals redone. That hurt.

This was all 3 seals. I brought the truck in to dealership by where I work, I wanted them to checkout the fluid by my ball joint. I got the truck back that afternoon with the front axles replaced and the bill. All I wanted was to know where the fluid was coming from. Needless to say I don't use Lincoln Dodge anymore. My boss got screwed in the same manner, he doesn't use them either.

What? Thats gear oil leaking out from a bad axle seal. The bad u-joint has nothint to do with that.
