I think that i have made up my mind to get the edelbrock shorty headers #65643 They might cost a little more but its nice to know that they will bolt right up without any extra parts and come with everything that i need for $350 which includes shipping. Has any one here had any problems out of the nickle, chrome painted headers?
Get the long tubes. You will getWAY more power and torque with them than you will with shorties. Dyno proven- on our trucks.

Mopowar,

Is that power and torque across the board or just the high end? just curious.

Also I noticed you're running a custom Y pipe, did you find it superior to the Pacesetter, or did you need it/want itfor another reason?

Man i cant argue with you guys so i guess that i will get the pacesetter set, I can get the Headers and the y-pipe all for about 410 on ebay.... I dont think thats too bad, ill just have to wait a few more weeks to get them... Does any body know what kind of Hp and torque gains to expect? Also there will still be some room for the cat right?

I highly recommend getting the long tubes over the shorty's. I am still kicking myself. I waited almost 2 years to get headers waiting for someone to come out for long tubes then about 3 months before the pacesetters came out I bought edelbrock ceramic coated shorty's. You will be much happier with the performance of the longtubes. Besides the long tubes will give you a good excuse to redo the exhaust system for better sound and even better performance.

Yes it can reset the OBDII codes but if you don't fix the problem the light will just come back on.

put the key in the ignition, turn the key on off on off on, but don't actuallyturn the truck overeach time, read the codes on the digital odometer, thengo here: http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/dodge/figure out what's wrong and fix it.

Marty at KRC said the gains were low- mid range with the lt's. I would try running with your o2 sensor first, and get a simm if you need one. You may need to extend the wires for the downstream sensor.

Also there is a guy on ebay who sells the LT's with a 3 inch matching y pipe for $410.00 so look for him.

Yah that's where i plan on buying it from, it's also free shipping and handling, i just hope that those headers hold up for at least 5-6 years or until i get a new ram..
