Try shifting to neutral or wiggling the shifter while you crank. Might be a worn out neutral safety switch.

like I said battery is fully charged I get no clicking and I tried wiggling the shifter still nothing. Where is the neutral safety switch on this truck
anyway. I might as well replace that to.

do me a favor. while the key is in the run position, take a screw dirver and connect the two bolts at the starter together. this should at least crank the truck over. that way you can pin point the problem wether it is the ignition switch or a bum wire/fuse in the power contol box. also i think the neutral swithc is either on the steering colum or the tranny itself.

The best way to troubleshoot any electrical problem is to use a volt meter. Get the starting circuit schematic, locate the common side of the circuit and place your black lead there. With the red lead start at the selonoid and work your way towards the ignition switch. This should be done with the ignition switch to the on position and your looking for 12 vdc.(have someone hold it or wedge it on yourself) Once you find voltage the problem is with the last component you jumped over. This method takes a little knowledge, if your not electrically inclined, find some who is to help you. It sure beats wasting time and money throwing parts at it. I'll try to find the schematic to send to to you.

Try diagnosing the problem rather than replacing parts one at a time, hoping to get lucky.

I agree about using an electrical meter to check things step by step.

The ASR (automatic shutdown relay) circuit 'could' cause the problems described.

Neutral Safety switch is located on driver's side of transmission
plug is mounted straight up
