The Keg Intake Modification Thread

RE: The Official Keg Intake Modification Thread
I just got a lot of stuff going on. I think as the weather gets colder, i'll be in the garage more and more and can work on it. I've still not noticed any loss in perfomance or mpg, and do not have any pinging issues. So that is contributing to my lazyiness about getting it swapped. As it gets worse, i suspect i'll start to see more issues, but for now, it is fine. Don't worry though, i'll keep you updated.

I did not mod it.
I was absolutely dirt poor that month and couldn't afford to gobuy a rotozip. I really wanted to, but it wasn't happening. Almost all teachers in this state get paid once a month. You gotta really watch your budget cause you can blow thru a check in a week or two, then you're eating Raman Noodles until the last working day of the month.
Next summer I'm thinking about pulling it again and doing it. I'll let Silver do the experimenting and try my best to learn from his wisdom.

RE: The Official Keg Intake Modification Thread
I never thought of cuting the runners untill I saw this therd. I had my plenum leak so I decided to modify it since I had it off. I cut the runners 1 in down. I also noticed that it can be ported quite a bit too. So I did that with my dremel tool. Im suprised I didnt see anything menchened that there is this much materail that can be removed. It accualy didnt cost me nothing but time. I had all the gaskets and tools already. It took me 4 hours to remove cut and install. Thats with lunch! Well Im guessing all of you are wondering if it was worth it! I would say so. For a free mod. I noticed it did feel smother and stronger at the top end. It feels the same at the bottom end. So im going to mess with my shifts and I belive I could move it up the rpms a little. It feels good. The only thing I could compair it to is like when I installed the 52 Throttle body. I bet these two together will give me the most air that I can get into it without forced induction.

Not to change the topic off of modified keggers, but check out this intake. It's a Magnum MPI 6 barrel intake system. Dyno'ed at 15hp, 33ftlbs increase over an M1 intake. Someone said it cost $2500.
