Man that's a great find. I might have to drive the truck up to indiana and have my Dad help me out with that next summer. (he's got the welder, experience welding, and the other tools).

For anyone with 4WD, Tuff Country has a traction bar kit. For you 2WD guys who have to worry about clearence, you'll need to find a sleeker setup.

this is a cheeper alternitive to buying $300-400 kits, which is why I brought it up. For people like me, that want the good stuff at a good price.

I am young, no bills (other than car payments on 3 vehicles), free food and a roof to live under (living with parents ftw, keep in mind I am only 18), so I will be buying the caltrac bars, but damn Indy you do some good research that was a really good read and was really informative. I enjoyed it and will show this to my buddy with his Grand National .

Thanks. Now that I quit my job to focus on school, I find I have just a little too much time, so I spend my plethora of spare time researching mods lol.

This might be a good solution for 2WD trucks, but I am still skeptical. As far as the axle rotation, the link should do its job as described. As far as traction, I think that he has the link pitched at the wrong angle. With any vertical angle, the force will push the truck upwards instead of forward. After all, drag racing is about going forards...

Someone let me know if it works out for you...

thats the beauty of the device...it doesnt create an upwards force.

What it does is it redirects the energy into planting the wheel back on the ground.

Heres a crude paint app. of how the force works to plant the tire.

Basicly, it uses a leverage and fulcrums to redirect the force from foreward/upwards to downwards force.

btw, did you make that pic in cad or something, or did you find that...if you made that, very nice.
