Default Tire Pressure

I have E rated tires, and they max at 80 psi. I run them about 35 all around whenever i'm not hauling anything. Does that seem okay or too low? What do you guys run in yours unloaded for regular driving?

really as long as your sidewalls arent really bulging out, creating alot of surface area on the pavement - bad;creates heat

no sidewall is to be on pavement and try not to have them bulging

my tire pressure wouldnt matter if i told you haha

i usually run about 25-30 psi

35 for you is fine as long as they arent bulging

if ur current tire size is same as what came on your truck, go by what it says on your tire placard/VIN info
on driver's door sill

Mine max at 80. I keep them at 50 when not towing. 35 seems too low to me. Is there a minimum pressure stamped on the sidewall? Should be in the truck too.

anywhere from about 30-80 is ok. i run mine about 40 or 45. the higher you go, the harder they ride on dirt roads and the "skatier" it feels on highway.

I have super swampers and I was told to keep the pressure lower to keep the center tread from wearing out, but I've noticed the front tires are wearing out faster than the rear from turning. I mean it's no big deal I guess, I rotate them every 2500 miles. I just want to make sure the pressure isn't to low for highway driving. I usually drop them to about 25 for offroad.

I have wondered about this. It seems to me there has to be a happy medium somewhere.

i'm curious on this as well.

last night i talked to a guy who had emailed BFG about the centers wearing out quickly on his All-Terrain T/A KO's, the guy he talked to at BFG recommended running the tires between 26 and 34 lbs to get the best life out of them when not hauling or towing.

The placard rating for the trucks is for a loaded truck.
I run mine around 30-35 for city driving (unloaded) and 40psi for highway to reduce rolling resistance.
