Default Trany durability

Have a 95 dually V10 with around 100k miles.... trany has been moaning in reverse... I've never worked it that hard... what's the history of Dodge trany's? ...do they generally need rebuilds after 100k? I was hoping I could get another 50k out of it b4 opening it up.

The reverse moaning is a pretty common problem. If that is your only problem you shouldn't require a rebuild.
There was a new heavy duty regulator valve released by Chrysler to fix this problem. It requires removing and partially disassembling the valve body to fix. There is a tsb covering the symptoms
