hey guys ok newest problem its worse than my jeep wow at start up my 1998 ram 1500 5.2L will run real ruff like its gonna stall out i think i can hear a vacuum leak(cant find it) when i try to drive off the truck will bogg down and backfire thru the tb (i think) no power at all if i mash the throttle it will pick up and go... she has 65000 miles on her and i have replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor, map sensor, tps sensor, pvc valve once the truck warms up it mostly drives fine.. the check engine light came on today on the way home.. havent had a chance to check the code... any help would be great

 

While the truck is running tap the MAF and see if the car bogs out , also check the IAC , I know I need to replace my IAC it makes sort of a hissing noise at start up and when I rev it up.

 

good way to check for a vacume leak is wd 40 or carb cleaner when u hit the spot thats leaking itll run a little better then u have the general location and go from the that is if its a vacume problem

Without actually seeing or hearing your truck it is hard for us to tell what it is.

 

problem solved it was just a bad o2 sensor she is idling great and running like a champ

 

Try looking at the EGR Valve

 

Have a look at the last post. Not only did he already solve his issue, but, he solved it four and a half YEARS ago.........
