Thats pretty sweet. Dumb question, i know no form of rubbing is good when its not ment to happen, but is there really a problem with a little rubbing, besides tire wear? Couldnt mess up the control arms could it?

my cousin has a 2001 offroad 1500, and he had 33x12.50s on 8 inch wide wheels, with no rub. Now he put a 1 inch front spacer (so no geometry gets screwed up) and he is running 35x12.50 on the same wheels, i personally like the tires under the wheel wells, but do what you like best. When installing the 35's he only had to cut about a 3inx3in hole in the inner fender well plastic (no bumper trimming). And that was only for full turns. Dont know how much articulation he could take. But if you leave the antisway bar, I think you will be fine. Also the more lift you use, the more money it cost, so lift as little as possible, but still put the tires you want on the truck.

Rubbing on the inside will limit turning and if you have an aggressive tire it will grab at the flat lip on the control arms. The wheel liner can be massaged with a heat gun.

Rubbing on the outside will deffinately cause issues. Mostly from aftermarket wider/offset rims. The front and rear of the wheel well fender lip is a straight edge that will get into the tire and mostlikely buckle the fender. The wheel liner and chin spoiler is also going to get caught up in the pulling.

I just bought a 98 1500 2wd. It has 22 inch rims on it and rubs a bit of the passenger tire/fender when going for a tight corner. I would like to add a bit of a lift to it to clear everything. I am thinking a 2 or a 3 inch lift. So what are some of the good companies to look at.

New to the truck world as I drag race for points at our local track and finally decided to buy a truck to tow my car back and forth.
