No bus means that yournot getting info from the truck's computer calledthe PCM (also ECM on some trucks).

Check the connections on the passenger side firewall under the hood. The PCM should have 3 connectors and have a ton of wires all bundles togethergoing into it.

the Ccd is caused by the travel computer not getting info from the PCM as well.

Im no expert but look at the wire that runs from your Crank sensor. I remember me tearin down my motor and leaving that unplugged and the engine would keep turning over but i had no fire on anything. That might be the problem? It should be near the fire wall and the sensor is located behind the left hand valve cover if your standing in front..

You have a short, poor connection,or defectivevital sensor. Go to this this link, check the list of sensors, and clean them with electric parts cleaner and use a dab of dielectric grease to seal the moisture out when you reconnect them. Don't pay the dealership for something you could do yourself.

yep checked that thread out after the fact. was a little worried it might be the computer though and i dont have a scanner for this truck yet. called the dealer and since i just got it 5 days ago they are going to go over the truck for me for free. so it is now sitting at the dealer. the truck only has 34000 on it and was never driven that often since it was an army guy who owned it last and was allways in the garage. hopefully they will replace the computer and check all the connections. plus there were a few other things wrong with it i notiuced while driving it this week they need to fix. is it normal to get a whine from the tranny or rear end at low speeds while only giving the truck very little throttle? i have allways owned a chevy so these trucks are new to me so i dont know much about how they act or noises the would normally make while driving

It's normal to get a bit of a whine in 2nd gear.
Diff whine is usually most noticeable between 35-50 mph then starts to decrease as you go faster

try changing the rear end oil. Don' use synthetic. Sometimes syntheic makes the gears wine. or so I've heard.
