my driving lights suck
What are good driving lights. My lights arn't that good. I want the best kind, but by still being legal. Also what are good brights? I was also looking for a new air intake. I want one of those cool cone type so I went on ebay and they have then for around $20 + shipping. Napa has them for around $200. Are the ones on ebay just really cheap, or will they work fine. Below is a link if you wan to check them out. Lead me in the best direction please.

Let the Phrase "you get what you pay for" be your guide for the air intake. I'd go with the $40 round AC myself. Oh wait, I already did.
Just throw in some Silverstar Ultrabrights until you research if you want to go with HID's as far as lights go.

I will probably end up getting some of the siverstar lights. I went to shucks and that was recommended. I have a 01 Ram 1500 5.9L Off Road Laramie quad cab. What type do I need and do I need two sets--one for brights and one for driving? They are pretty expensive. Around $45 a pair for a good set up here in Alaska. Its starting to get dark out during the day time and I want to see whatever I hit (ie.moose). Roads are getting very slick and my new studded Bridgestone Winter force tires kick ***. I recommend them for icy weather at a great price.

The silverstars are dual filaments and work the brights and lows. Much better than the stocks I replaced, but those were 7 years old. If your headlights are turning yellow or foggy, you can clean them with brake fliud and then polish them with a really mild abrasive like the mothers plastic polish.
I'd recommend getting the Ultra version, the Cool Blues or the Xtravisions just aren't as bright. That way you'll really be able to freeze that moose for a good head shot... er, avoid hitting them, I mean.
Wear clean gloves or put some socks on your hands when you install them so you don't get finger oils on the bulbs. I've heard Halogens can explode when they heat up.That may just bea old wives' tale, but why chance it?
There was a wiring mod that let's you keep both on when you flick on the highs if you wanted to do that. I can't remember where it was though.
