Default Gutted cat gave me MORE POWER

Wow, that's all I can really say. I wasn't really sure if having my cat gutted added more h/p or not, but all I can say is YES. The other night (before i had my cat gutted), I raced my brothers f-350, and make a short story short lol, he kicked my butt off the line. Well today (cat gutted), we were headed back home after our carwashes, and of course we hit a red light. So we were both sitting there revving our trucks up giving the ppl behind us a little show. The light turned green, and my 35" tires ****ing spun them hard, and then I just took off. It was rediculous, I beat him fair and square. We then hit two more stop lights, and did the same thing, and EVERYTIME, I just kicked his butt, 0-60 was easily 7 seconds, it was INSANE. I thought I couldnt beat him, but today, jesus, i was just kicking his *** by two truck lengths everytime! So you can definately see how much a cat robs horsepower! I know it's not the greatest thing though considering my truck doesn't filter unburned gases anymroe, but damn it's awesome. My truck is 2x louder than it was before, and I gained some serious h/p, no joke! I want to get some vids up so bad to show you some 0-60's, and show you how loud this truck is, and shes wicked sexy lol. did i ever mention i love this ****in thing????

subscribed....get a video of your speedometer from 0-60.

my grand prix gt goes 0-60 in 7 flat with the few mods it has, and runs 15.0-15.2 in the 1/4. if i were to race my truck & car side by side i'd say the car would pull 6-7 lengths on the truck. so if you're matching that, then i have more hopefor these big heavy turds.

it'll be interesting to see what your bottom end & fuel economy turns out to be... I'll have to keep my eyes peeled on the threads in this forum for awhile.

im not tryin to call you out or anything but there could have been other variables. maybe his gas tank was very low the last time yall raced and this time it was full, slowing him down a bit. small stuff like that could have affected the race just as much or more than gutting your cat.

definately could be true. I was running only a 1/4 tank this time. Or maybe my truck was clean this time and was more aerodynamic? ? haha j/k. but yeah, ya never know. all i know was that i whooped his *** 3 times in a row everytime, and easily, it was nuts.

Now don't get ideas, Steve. You live in Cali, remember? Throw a cigarette out the window in that state and they'llcite you for littering, smog, wreckless driving, attemptedarson, and living.

Spinning 35's "hard", thats pretty impressive if you have stock gearing. Mine struggles to even brake torque with 33's.

Well I believe it's actually 4.10 gearing because it's the Off-Road package, but I am still mighty impressed. Sometimes it sucks though because the truck has so much power, It'll peel out the first couple of seconds and then it will finally get traction, but even if i lose a race, at least I always win in style lol! I just love the sound of a loud throaty *** exhaust and squeeling tires, so fun to me.
