It's a ca thing. There is a ca emmisions truck. I have one. It has two cats and four o2 sensors. It sucks when you are trying to figure out which one is bad. It;s good for adual

I wonder what the car dealers do when they bring in out of state trucks... they're not going to add cats to make it CA compliant.

Well I'm fairly sure I have two, just locating them has been the pain. I feel like a noobie, lol.

ORIGINAL: kowboydmac

I was under there earlier, but to be honest I'm accustom to a 1975 straight 6 block, so O2 sensors are alien territory to me right now.
Then my sugestion would be, leave it alone until 2 conditions are verifiable: 1 - you know you have a problem with the O2 sensors.
2- you get a manual and/or learn what you are messing around with before you screw something up bigtime and cost yourself money you didn't need to spend.

i still say yank the o2's & clean them.

on the 2 cat comment... they'd be right off the exhaust collectors on each side of the motor...

I've been studying my manual, and I'm sure I can handle this, but maybe I will just clean them first like Steve reccomends.

get a can of CRC electronic components cleaner from the auto parts store and spray the exhaust stream openings really good, let them dry and re-install them
