I'm screwed....

I came to a scary realization, last night, while researching the above: I ordered the WRONG flippin' lug nuts!!! [:@]The trucks that originally ran these rims use a 9/16-18 lug nut; mine's ½-20! Alongside that fact: My wheel studs are considerably shorter, as I stated above. NOW what?!?! I may just have to run longer wheel studs, and PRAY that ½-20 lug nuts will seat properly.

Any thoughts, folks???
pull the studs and get longer ones. Make sure your rim is hub centric, otherwise get a hub centric ring (gag)

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram on 2003 stock 20" wheels. I have ran these wheels on a 2000 also. They fit on both trucks perfect using the stock lug nuts and NO spacers. Hope this helps you out.l

The '00+ Ram's have an updated/different hub design, which allows these wheels to be bolted-on without any issues.

The 4-WD hubs/rotors were different than the 2-WD ones, no?

The rotors may have been different but they wheels worked the same way on all three vehicles with the stock lug nuts. I think you should try to put the wheels on with the stock equipment and let me know how it goes. I will check mine if your's don't fit and see if i can see what the deal is. Let me know. Good luck!

You can not put newer style rims on a older 94-98 2WD Ram without adapters or spacers. You will be fine if you own a 99-01 2WD because Dodge changed the design in 1999. 4x4's wont have the hub problem since they have a different front hub than the 2WD. You can use any Dodge truck rim you'd like if you own a 4x4. PM me with any questoins if you'd like. Here's the difference between adapters and spacers.

Adapters have there own lugs and are commonly called spacers. I am fairly certain they only come on 1 1/4 inch for the Ram's

Spacers generally do not have the studs. If you get spacers you will also need to replace the factory studs with longer ones. Spacers normally come in 1/4 inch 1/2 inch 3/4 inch and 1 inch being the largest. PLEASE DO NOT PLACE SPACERS ON YOUR TRUCK WITHOUT LONGER WHEEL STUDS. Your
tire will come off one day and you will think back to this thread and say "Wow, that guy was right"

I hope this helps. I have an 1998 2WD in my drivway with the 2001 4x4 wheels in the Garage waiting on spacers right now
