I guess deafness does have some advantages! I don't have to worry about such noises. Things that drive normal people nuts, don't even register. The REALLY funny part is that all these other guys have the same noise. HAHAHAHAHA

Well, I can't say for 100% that's for sure it, but i've had a devil of a time getting it to repeat. I did install a new coil and noticed the engine isn't as loud anymore at a hot startup idle. Not sure if a coil can start to go out or it just flat fails one day, but I'll take the reduced noise in a heartbeat. maybe there was some sort of slight misfire or the coil wasn't fully charging and discharging at high RPM WOT and now it does.

That's not a thumbs up for everybody to go out and buy a new coil, BTW
