I tell ya what, heres the compromise...

1500s are puny trucks (lol), so do full bolt ons for the power, and weld steel I beam btwn the frame and the axle, and youll never have to worry about the load sagging, pull away to victory!

I know my truck is for racing, but as far as truck uses, the most Iv ever used my truck for was hauling 2 tons of concrete mix up through the mountians, and it was a tough chore (when I was stock). Other than that, I'll pull the occasional 30' tree behind the truck for fun, but thats about it. 1500s arent big towers unfortunately. I guess you could tow the excavator, but I wouldnt put the strain on the truck unless it was an emergency. But, If ya gotta....****ing go ***** to the wall!!! More power to ya (youll need it :P)

(speeking of funny tows, my neighbor has a 30 odd foot fishing boat that he tried to tow with his v6 dakota....I dont think i really need to say the outcome lol. He wound up renting an f350 with a 460 for the job lol)

LMAO GOLDPRO, you just sound like another little jealous bitch buddy. I knew right off the bat your post was ingenuine. Im so tired of guys like you, just coming onto peoples threads and giving ppl hell. You know this is a dodge forum right, were all supposed to support each other. Its called a fricken typo too by the way moron, I know my truck is a 1/2 ton. If you grew up like I did in Chevy 1500s and Ford 150s, you would know why i think this truck has so much potential. Compared to both half ton fords and chevys, this dodge offers so much more power. I was absolutely shocked he first day i test drove this truck, i didnt know a 1/2 ton could have so much potential. It truly blows the competition away with its poweful engine, superior frame, larger driveshaft, larger brakes, etc etc. etc. Seriously ********, what is your beef buddy? You just come here late in the game, and start blowin off. Listen, I know my truck is great looking, and I know it's powerful, and I know Ill run into a couple of ********* like you on the forum who hold grudges when they see someone who obviously has a ncie truck that they take care of. Dont bother contributing anything if it isnt going to be nice. You dont phase me a bit buddy. Not everything is about TOWING, its the most ignortant thing ive ever heard. There are ppl out there who dont need a fricken 2500 or a 3500, id be kidding myself for having a 3 quarter ton or a 1ton, thatd be so stupid for me to own one. Its not like I own some fricken foreign truck like a tacoma, tundra, or titan. I own a very fine domestic truck that is very powerful and strong within its own rights, you sound stupid bashing on your own kind. Go somewhere else with your jealous grudges, and step off this thread, nobody needs to hear it, especially me bud.

oh another guy who wishes he didn't buy a 1500, fact is the 1500 isn't made for towing, let alone towing a 10k pound excavator. The brakes, trannys, driveshaft, frame, rear diff, suspension ect ect ect, are all bigger and beefier on the 2500's-3500's

So like it has been stated let your brothers truck do the towing. that is unless you want to replace your transmission which has been proven 20,000 times to fail while being worked. But really do whateer you want to do.

lets just end this **** now. neon, go to the place rent the damn machine and attempt to tow it. then show us what happens when you try. if you break somethin then half of us were right, if you dont and you tow it then you get to say "i told you so"

i think you better have a blank check ready, your vehicle is not equipped to tow the machine no matter what.
bottom line, its still a 1500. nice truck, dont get me wrong. its a dodge, its way better than any 1/2 ton out there but its not stronger than any chevy or ford 3/4 ton.

sometimes people get a little too big for their britches... your internals are not designed to hold that kind of weight or even pull it at a safe speed. especially these GREAT dodge trannys.

i never said EVERYHING is about towing, but if you make a thread about towing a 10k pound excavator with your 1500 expect to get the kind of responces i just gave you.

And honestly i could care less how your truck looks, its just like everyother ram out there, maybe alittle more riced out with your sweet euro headlights, and awesome clear tails, get a clue kid.

pa you have the perfect example of what a 1500 should do. lift and tires for mud and play. not towing a huge *** machine down the highway.

guttina highflow cat? doesnt that give you the power to spin 35's??
