Thanks guys, i think ill just get a high flow cat and not risk anything. But another question ive had for awhile, is it true that we cant run true duel exhaust because of lack of o2 sensor ports on the chip? or something on the lines of that? Thanks for all the help

HAHA, made me almost laugh while drinking my soda.

I thought if you had a gutted cat you had to get a false O2 sensor or was that for something else like not installing a cat ?

I thought the same thing, but then again he is a 98. not sure if that makes a difference. I'm an 01, but i know they changed some obd II thing or w/e its called. I was afraid to gut mine which is why I still have it stock. I was looking into a high flow.. but then I asked myself if it was worth it since the old one still works. hmm.... I'll figure it out over the summer when I have the $$$ to do it.

In Hawaii, we don't need any cats. If you do not want it, I wouldsuggest cutting it out and replacing the spot with a straight pipe. With that hollow gutted cat in the beginning of your exhaust system, it will cause swirling in your exhaust instead of going straight out. That defeats the purpose of removing it because the exhaust gasesmay take even longer to exit the pipes.
