not trying to start something but those goodyear silentarmors were ****
Were they Wrangler Silentarmors or Fortera Silentarmors? The Fortera's are garbage, but forthe Wranglers, 60K is on the low side of what we see for well maintained tires. We've got people running Rams, Silverados and Superdutys (mostly diesels)pulling trailers and sometimes getting nearly 80k out of a set.

Also, if yours were Wranglers, did you select the proper load range? Putting P-metrics or C's on a 3/4 ton, especially if you tow, is gonna accelerate wear a great deal. I wish these things had been around when I was looking for tires on my Powerwagons.

I'm not a Goodyear ***** and, in fact, none of my vehicles sport Goodyear tires (Dunlop, Cooper, Firestone, Falken, and others), but I am a fan of the WSL's.

and to 20dodgeneon00 i have those pirelli scorpeans on my dodge ram now and they are great i just love them

aren't they just awesome? pirelli really impressed me with that damn tire. It'd be awesome if that made it in a 305. My brother wants to move up two sizes from 265, but he is having a hard time finding a tire like the scorpion. I think the M.T ATZ is the really only compromise to that tread style.

I ask again, Wrangler or Fortera? Both are made by GY.

Also another option is the BFG Rugged Trail...don't know the specs off hand, or if they even come in the size that you are looking for, but I do know that from the dealer ship, my uncle got about 50k on a 2005 Ford F350 pulling trailers most of the time.

So I noticed that the prielli's are getting bad reviews about sidewall strength, Has anybody noticed that?

The Michelin LTX M/S has great tread wear, just wish it was a little more agressive looking. Now on to research the duelers.

Don't you guys use that truck to tow stuff? You should probably keep the 265 size on there.Big tires kinda suck for towing.

It's funny ya mention that. We were discussing that today when we were looking at the truck, and we decided that we are going to go with the 285. This way we can go up one more size, will look a little more badass and fill in that fender gap, yet it will still be able to tow and move around quickly like it can now. We also were running into an issue of going any higher than a 285, nobody credible was offering a tire in an "E rated" version, so it was something that seemed dumb to put anything less than E rated on an F-350 ya know? Good point though. I think the 285/75/16 is going to look really good on his truck though. Won't look quite as small as the 265, but it will be bigger than most tires out there.

I know you can get most superswamper tires are E load rated up to pretty high sizes. Not really the kinda tires you want if you're gonna be hauling though I suppose, although I dig them completley. Not sure about other companies but I'll do some lookin around for ya. 285s shouldn't donk out the power too much though.

That'd be cool if you could do that. I know that Pirelli does offer the Scorpion in a 285 size as well. So he was planning on just running that tire again if he can't find something else like it. The only other tire I've seen like it before is that Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ Radial. If you can find something though that is E rated with a smooth tread, but excells in all conditions, that'd be great! Thanks man!

Check these out cheif.
I was gonna run them myself. They're just not agressive enough for some of the crap I like to drive through.

I hear good things about BFG all terrains too. but I think they're only load D. Those pro comps are load E up to 40" tires. Similar tread to the Micky-Ts you were talking about too
