LOVE? OR HATE?

Man, if you've got a known bad cat, that'll suck the mileage down something fierce. Tune up won't hurt either, but won't do much good without the cat getting fixed.

i normally say cat needs to be fixed ASAP but then i start thinking since im doing the cat might as well look into exhaust and then headers and where it normally ends up isdo i just do the cat new. or do i put long tube headers, H pipe into 2 mufflers going out the back... so yea i guess i get carried away with all the things i CAN buy but i guess i should just do things one thing at a time..
lol i wish i could just decide
i have a seriouse love hate relationship with my truck. i love the looks i love its beefy stance but my truck has some issues that im slowly working out and it drives me nuts. i dont care about gas but i want my truck to perform perfectly. towing etc. and it fights me woth the running perfect. ive done a few things to it with the help from people here and its made me like it more and more. i did the tps mod it made a huge difference. then i flushed my cooling system and went with a 180 t stat and again another huge difference. so when my truck is running great i love it but when it doesnt do what i want it to do how i want it to do it i love to hate it.
Fix the cat, you'll save gas money and be able to put that money toward something else.
I've done everything in my sig, and am still debating which headers to eventually get. I've got the318ciengine,and I'm concerned long tubes might be too much and I'll lose my bottom end torque.

I love my truck. I had a 98 SST sold it for a Ford F-150, then a F-350 with a Powerstroke. I liked the Powerstroke, but after the divorce I didn't need it anymore since I no longer had the camper. Sold the F-350 and tried to get by with a Ranger which was a company truck. My 99 Ram 4X4 with the 5.9 gets the same mileage as the Ranger 4X4 with a 3.0. I love the ride and power of the Ram. I would have prefered a diesel, but just couldn't find one in my price range.

Calvin I know what you mean. I love my truck but gas is a bitch I go through 100 bucks a week and that was before it was 3 bucks a gallon. I figure I'll have tostop more now that you don't get as much.
