Silver,
Go with the lights. You won't be sorry. I put some on my rear end because I'm looking through two layers of tinted glass with the topper on. And the stock b/u lights are actually a tinted lense too! But I hooked mine up to a three position toggle switch mounted in my O/H console. Rear position=on with reverse; ctr. off; fwd position= on demand. Works out well. Screw the looks...utility is the thing here.

Might be able to route them thru the cargo light, then you could use the stock dial to turn them on and off.

I don't really think you can say screw the looks here with a truck like this. This truck looks good for a reason. I don't think that gap looks weird at all either, that reese hitch looks powerful like the truck. I mean I don't mind bumper lights on a truck if they go into like a bumper that has hole outlets for lights, but I think hanging lights into a random space just doesn't fit, especially a truck that has obviously had some time taken into her.

Hey Reid,
If you want to take that hitch off and bring it with you loose to the Christmas Crusade thing on the 1st, I'll have my hitch shop cut and reweld it 3" higher.......unless you like it the way it is?
I'll swap you for the Muffler that way!

I'm going to have to agree with WayneC on this one. I really see some functional return on doing this, so i'm going to try it out for awhile and see if I really like it or not. They are easily removed if I decide I don't like it. I have the same type lights mounted in my bumper, and they have been a great functional mod. Not everyone likes how they look either, but I wouldn't get rid of them for anything. We have some pretty bad fog from time to time, and snow conditions that can make it so you can't see past your own hood. They have really helped in these conditions.

That's funny, but i've been in some winter conditions were backwards was the only way you could go. Would have been nice to have some good lights behind me to see for sure where I was going.

Reid, I like it, but.................are you lifting for looks, or for wheeling? I think that it would drive me nuts after awhile (the dropped hitch, not the lights). I would tuck that thing up out of the way (and the exhaust too) but that's just me.

The truck is really looking good otherwise!
