he may be doing it just to show what the 4.7 can do...5.9 on an 03 ram may have been difficult to get and he may not have been able to afford the hemi


as for me...i'm not running a 6.7...it would be nice...but i only have a 4.7... i couldnt find a 5.9 whan i got mine

 

The thing is, the 4.7 can't do **** in a truck that big, so he can't show what it can do.

Now if he took that 4.7 and modified it to go in a neon that'd be another story, it is power to weight and weight is the enemy, until you overcome that enemy you aren't going anywhere FAST.

 

Ican understand that. I still dont agree though. Thats like saying you settled for the 76 smog motors for racing when you could have bought an almost new car that wasnt smog. If he works for a company and hes testing out products for the 4.7 thats a diffrent story. I just think its a **** poor platform for drag racing, and I dont see how anyone can disagree.

 

What can a small displacement V8 do?

Study the 4.2L Audi V8...that is really a W8

If you don't know what a W8 is
or what a VR6 is
it is worth studying that too.
