3in lift will definatly fit 35s....hell a friend of mine has 38X14.5 on his dodge right now with only a three in lift (sure they rub but it looks sweet). Take a look at my truck it has 35X12.5 on it with 3in body and coilspacers, could easily clear 36s

so ogman you have 5 inches of lift total right. or do you have 5 in front and 3 in rear? those 35's look small with all that lift.

the idea is ZERO rub ! either go 2" lift /3" body for the 35s or go 3"susp/3"body

its 5 in the front 3 in the rear, cheapest way to go if you want to fit 35s

Im not sure about a regular 4x4. I have the "Off Road" package which I hear sits higher factory and a 3in. lift and have no problem with my 35's.

Um, the 'answer' is simple... how much trimming are you willing to do? You may not need a lift at all. I have a 35s on 8" wide steel streetlock wheels, a 3" SJ Stage II system but, I trimmed front plastic and beat down a seam at the back of the wheel well.
The manufacturers say 5" to clear 35s is assuming you do NO trimming or fender alteration.

ogman it looks like you could fit 36's/ do those 35's rub cause you got a lot of space from your tire to the top of the wheelwell

I have a 3" Lift and 33"s and the 33"s rub if you hit a bump while at full lock. Or sometimes when just at full lock. Now this is due to having them on 10" wide wheels. If I went with 8" wide wheels with the correct backspacing I should be able to easily clear 33"s but I'm not sure 35"s would work without rubbing even then. I'd go with a 5" lift to be safe for 35"s. I think you can stuff them with a 3" but you are likely to have to do some trimming or have some serious rubbing.

If you're gonna run fat *** wheels and tires you're gonna need fat *** backspacing. If you're rubbing on the control arms your tires are too wide and you need more backspacing. If your tires are tearing out your fenders and wheel wells then they are too tall and need more lift.

I put 33 X 12.5 on a 10" rim and they rubbed. Put on a 3" suspension lift and all was good. Added a 3" body lift and went to 35's as seen in my pics.
