lost gas mileage

well tcc is good all other injectors are good except the fifth one i dont have the funds to fix right now make about 1200 a month and pay 700 in rent and im going to school so i have little to no money the compression is decent aint the best of the best but it is still in ok condition to run little sluggish on accel but that is to be expected after that oxy sensors are mopar parts as of that is all i will buy bosch are only good for jap cars anyways before on the oxy sensors but they are in good condition the snap on scanner i used showed them to be working right found out today i have a very slight rod knock my dad cant hear it but he aint got the best of ears so when he can hear it i know its horrid thursday morning im gonna put some work in it cuz i live in a apt right now so i have to go home to do it it has no mods to engine all are mopar or mopar approved parts in it tranny got rebuilt at about 389k cat was replace at about 395k being since i decided to go a little dumb and go down a dirt road to fast and rip it off with a rock this problem started at about 401k wich i have about 402k now so it sucks me up on gas now oil gets changed every 3k air filter is clean and reoiled at about 401,400 miles so i know its good and that filter has been on it since about 200k this truck is a very good truck i mean it has original starter a/c powersteering rearend its a great truck i love it and just hate to see the way it is right now its getting a little bit better than my 70 ford gets wich aint the best because it has a 390 and a 4 barrell

At that mileage
it would not be surprising
if one (or more) of the valves was not sealing properly
which would hurt MPG
and could also cause a misfire.

But how can you complain about an engine that lasted that long?
