well the connectors would give it away however ive never looked for the numbers so im kinda courieous what it would look like according to the reide up "Transmission identification numbers are stamped on the driver side of the case flange just above the oil pan gasket (just below the TV lever). There will be a 9 digit part number, a space, a 4 digit build date, a spave, and a 4 digit serial number."...if your real ambitious you could go under there with a camera...

another thing i was wondering what is the exact date your truck was built (month/year on the sticker on your door) if it rurns out that dodgeram.org site is wrong im gonna eamil him to let him know, would be nice to have some pics and other infoto send him too

ugh..well of ocurse it rained today..and i got a lil side tracked with some mud ..but the date of manufacture is 07-96, but tomorrow i will look under there during break at the shop tomorrow and get some pictures of the stampings..

I looked under my truck (Manuf..2/96 in Meixco)...Could not find a stamp on the trans, but think the frt drive shaft could have been blocking it..Did see a sticker with a bar code and numbers under it but real small and atleast 3 different wired duehickes in the side of it..So must be electronic and that's what the build sheet says too..

yea..well ima be safe and look at my build sheet..but i checked my fluid the other day and it was all foamy..what could this mean? and it was right at the max line.but not over it.
