Bouncy?
As in vac leak? Which could also give the hesitation.

Well, I idle around 600rpms hot in park. What's the standard? I thought you didn't really need to start worrying about searching for Vac leaks until you got around 750rpms hot.

HAHA Padodgeram! it's funny you mentioned TPS mod codes in the other thread. I modded this a month ago. Maybe the torx screws let loose and flipped the code on me.

go too wide on the gap and you'll have pinging problems... I'd recommend staying at .040~.045". I had issues with my 2000 5.9 motor and plug gaps tried a couple of different gaps & found that what I mentioned worked the best for the longest.

So your saying either stay at stock or .05 over ? kinda defeats running MSD ..

How do you figure that?
The purpose of the MSD system is to give you multiple sparks per cylinder vs 1
If all you wanted was to be able to run a wider spark gap you kinda wasted some money.
I bigger spark gap doesn't always mean more power/better combustion. It's just a bigger flash to light the fuel.
eg. you don't need a flame thrower to light a candle.
.040 or .045 is more than adequate for mild street application. anything bigger just increases wear &stress on the ignition components.

first thing I noticed was a smoother idle, a tad bit more power and that was running the .040 gap. I speak from my own experiences with it. stock mopar cap & rotor, autolite 3923's gapped between .04~.045"... I tried both autolite and the NGK's. the NGK's did not last that long and perofrmance was not as good as the 3923's.
