i dont know what to do
on my 96 ram 4x4, the actuater in the front went out in it. the part is like $300 pluse getting it put on. a buddy of mine said somethin about a way to use a cable and make work like that. does anyone know what hes talkin about and how to do it?
not hard, but takes a little time and patience.
i would not spend $300+ on a new cad.
posi-lok is about $180 or so, and i really like mine, because of the ability to run 2wd low gear.
before spending a lot of money, determine what's wrong. most problems are simply broken vaccum lines under the truck. sometime its just a stuck, rusted shaft inside. there's not a lot to them.
here's how to fix them. http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/repair/..._engagment.htm
here's how to install posi-lok. https://dodgeforum.com/m_718119/tm.htm

They engage easily, but disengaging is hard sometimes.
