Need warmer air!
there is also a 'blend door' near the heater core
that can malfunction
either by just lack of vacuum due to a leak
or due to wear at the pivots
on the Dodge Ram heat/ac system
the hot coolant flows through the heater core all the time
and the blend door is what directs heat into the cab

My heater core works, my thermostat works. my vaccum works. I can change from cold to warm, Why is it my warm is very faint and not HOT. Why did it only blow warm air on the driver side defrost and not the passenger. Why is it not coming out at a high power? The motor is working fine!! Im puzzled!
Its your heater core everyone, thats what it is. I was puzzled at first. I thought it was the thermostat or a clogged line. Mine had a small leak, not even enough for coolant to leak on the carpet. My truck would hardly put out heat. I changed the heater core, and wow, i have to keep the control more on cold than heat in order to even stay in the truck. The heater core is behind the glove box. Be prepared to pull the whole dash and everything out. Its a six hour job without amanual and trying to figues out what to do, but you will need to have your A/C pumped down cause you will have to remove the a/c lines. The heater core is like $60 at O'Reillys. Be prepared for hard work is all i can tell you. Also make sure you have someone to help you take the dash assembly out. Its heavy
