i plan on getting 4.56's cloest u can get to stock settings. 4.88 if u wheel ur tow alot.

Most of those charts that say 4.56 are closest to stock are charts designed for the Jeep world. These trucks (especially if you have a quad cab or extended cab truck) weigh so much more, and are so much bigger, I think we need our own chart.

haha yea i just need to take all this strian off my transmision.

its currently in the shop now gettting adjusted and checked on because i recently had it rebuilt.

That is definetly a good reason to do gears when going to big tires.

I put the 4.56 gears in while I had 35's on and was it was awsome. After running around with 3.55 gears there was no comparison.

RPM's were a little higher than what it was stock, which was too low in my opinion anyway. Was able to use overdrive again, throttle response was better than new. Pulled 16' enclosed motorcycle trailer fine. You will need a new front carrier if you have 3.92 or lower gears. Don't remember which one without looking at the reciept.

When I went from stock gears to 4.10's and a Auburn limited slip in the rear, it ran me just under $2000 for parts and install. So i'm figuring that again minus the cost of the Auburn since it will remain.
