lol that sounds like something my dad would say to me because he's getting up there (55)and starting to get lazy. He'll say something crazy like "ooh it's not worth my time" or "I don't have the time" and he'll be saying this from his chair while he's watching TV .

So I end up doing it for him for a case of beer, because I can't stand to see him fork out the money to a garage.

Mechanics will always have "suckers" I'm not worried about my mechanic starving to death lol. He lives in a half a million dollar home, and I will be giving him thousands of dollars if my tranny ever goes out lol.

Turns out my buddie's being a big sand-filled vagina. He doesn't want to snap a bolt off in the head, boo-hoo. Bastard. I have half a mind to just go to his house and do it when he's inside visiting summer's eve.
BTW I feel you 20dodge. Sometimes, stress isn't worth the gain.

Scared of snapping a bolt? I guess he doesn't own a drill...

**** sometimes it's easier just to drill them out then it is to mess with them if they're that messed up.

thats for damn sure! If you do decide to do it yourself 20Dodge, Id recomend atleast one can of PB blaster...soak the **** out of the bolts. I dont know if it did any good for me, but from the day I bought my truck I new I was putting headers on it eventually, so for 6 months twice a day I sprayed those suckers. went through a lot of cans, but the bolts came out rather easy....minus two studs that stripped themselves. They got the vice grip treatment!

SilverRam So...I guess you also do all your own painting too? I guess you rechrome your own parts? Rebuild your altenator? Rebulild your starter? Cowardice??? Okay...why don't you get a header kit and weld it all up totally? Only a coward would buy a PRE-MADE set of headers!!!

Here is the part number from Jegs: 520-11650 or 54 Tellme how that works out for you.

Snapping a bolt off in an aluminum block can be serious, and he might not be able to use those lockers he bought. And yes, I would rather have someone else have the headache. Fortuanately, my manhood does not depend on how well I turn a wrench. The fact that you called a stranger a sand-filled vagina tell me all I need to know about the content of your character.

What dodge ram has an aluminum block?
Besides the SRT-10? Did I miss something? Does someone on this board have an SRT-10?

I'm confused here... but before you go off insulting SilverRam, it was IndyRamMan who was making fun of you... and yes he can do all the things you mentioned by himself.

The point here is not that we're insulting eachother, Just trying to give the man the confidence and motivation he needs to get out there and learn something about his truck and save himself some money.

+1
I do do all those things myself. Not a days worth of auto schooling in my life. The only time Iv ever worked in a shop was a year at costco, and all we did was change tires...nothing else just tires. The internet has enough info out there for you to build a nuclear reactor...headers are a pice of cake. And for making my own headers...your compairing apples to dragons...not even close. Bolts vs learning a trade? Come on. Be realistic.

Btw 20dodge...Just my pref, but I liked your snow sig 10x more
