Blew my water pump im sure
Ok last night my engine temp was around 250 and my battery went from chargering normal then dropped to around 8 and my GEN light came on
It was really late and i was just happy i was home i havent gone outside to really look yet but im almost positive i blew my water pump

see if you can wiggle the fan, If it does move that means the water pump is cooked.

Another way to see if it blew, is to see if there is coolant every where. When my uncle's 96 blew the water pump, coolant went ALL over the engine compartment.
Take the cap off your radiator. When the truck gets warm (thermostat)you will see the flow. Jr. Mechanic is right, there is a weep hole, on the bottom. Once mine spewed water out that hole, once it did not.
Don't worry, you can get those engines really hot and you won't ruin them. Mine got so hot it blew a heater hose in the garage. No engine damage. My radiator failed, but you could turn on the heater to draw off some of the heat. The temp went down when driven, up when at a light.
