Flowmaster Race Series Mufflers
I know you guys hate Fords, but I could use your help on this one lol. Here's the quick low down on my bros F-350. When we got his true dual installed in the summer time, we put SUPER 44s on it. Right away we were pretty dissapointed, we just figured that 460 big block was going to scream a lot louder. So what he wound up doing was slapping on dynomax bullets instead. And sure enough it got louder, but not the loud he or I wanted. It's very very loud, but it lacks that signature chambered tone of a flowmaster muffler. After he heard how my truck sounded with the SUPER 44, he began reminicising that tone he once had. So I told him I think he should go back to a muffler, so he can regain that special tone. But I don't think he should go with two bulky mufflers again, I think he should try the flowmaster race series muffler out. They are just as small as the dynomax bullets, so it will be just as clean like it is now, yet they have chambers in them so he can get that tone he wants. We both bought long tube headers for x-mas, so when we are getting them installed, he's having his bullets swapped out with the flowmaster race mufflers. Then later down the road, he is going to have his cats gutted like I did mine. DO any of you guys run those flowmaster race series muffler, and do they infact have "tone" like there 40 and 44 series mufflers do? The bullets are loud, but they just snap too much. They also don't have interior resonance, which we like. Your guys' input would be great.
i have the flowmaster 40 race series , single 3inch in and 3inch out ,3inch pipe from the cat back, when i had it installed even the exhaust guy that i worked with was like WOW this aint that loud! all in all it sucks, dont get the 40 series race, you will not like them, not loud at all, im going to get the flowmaster 10 series, that should do the trick, with a turn down after the muff, hope this helps
HAHA thanks for the heads up! But yeah I was defiantly leaning towards the 10 series one. I mean he runs dynomax bullets right now, and those aren't even mufflers, they are like resonators lol, so the 10 series aren't going to be any "louder". BUT, they will restore tone back into this truck, and make it way more badass sounding, because well..it's a badass truck and it needs flowmaster reppin it now! In 2 weeks he will have longtube headers going into a 2.5" true dual system with gutted cats, 10 series mufflers and 22"x4" exhaust tips. It's going to be quite an upgrade. We're having our trucks put in the shop at the same times to get our longtube headers put in. I bet mine is gonna be louder still though
Flowmaster 10s are the way to go. I think I'm going to get one of those myself when I get around to getting headers and a 3" single exit exhaust.
Also keep in mind that no matter what he does to his truck it's probably never going to be louder than yours. Bigger or not, these magnum engines just make the right noise. They make almost any muffler and any exhuast system sound amazing.

Man it's so true, he just doesn't get it (I love how it makes him jealous !). I would go with the 10 series if it had a dual out option, I like the dual look too much. The 44 is very loud on my truck, so it's fine. Probably would just be insane with a 10 series, this 44 does have the ability to be tamed though which I like. I think with the LT Headers and offroad ypipe though, it should make it extra insane. But yes, the 10 series are the way to go. Out with the bullets and in with the 10 series. I cant wait to let you know how they sound with his true dual system guys.
20dodgeneon00 you better never get ride of your 44's . you turned me onto them so you better keep em forever:P no matter how much u like the 10 series :Pwe'll see on wednesday how mine sounds with the 44's. f'n shop closed early today so i couldnt put em on.
LOL no way man, I won't get rid of it, I love it! That fricken sucks, don't you just hate that ****?! You just wait and wait and wait, and then you get rejected, it's torture. You probably just have the muffler in your room just lookin at it haha. I remember when I had to wait 2 weeks to afford getting the system I put in, I got SO desperate, I started yelling inside the mufflers lmao, it was purely pathetic. I'm such an auto junky. It'd be embarrassing if my parents saw some of the goobery **** I do these days, but whatever, I do a good job hiding it around normal ppl muahahhah

Check outthe Cherry Bomb Extreme. Its basically Cherry Bomb's version ofthe Flowmaster 10, except with less baffles.Other than the muffler,Everything up to the muffler is completely stock on my truck.I have my extreme hooked up to the Flowmasterdual pipes that came with the kit I bought last year which go straight out the back. Even withall this, its still insanely loud and its a good loudon top of that. The sound is absolutely amazing. Inside with the windows up, itsreminds me ofmy 50 SUV Flow, except much louder. Outside, itsounds almost like a glasspack.
The guy who I bought my muffler from has a 1st gen Lightningrace truck that is catless and has dual Flowmaster 10's. I never heard it, but the dude works at a muffler shop and it they are on his race truck, they must not be bad
