Tune Up Time!!
I do plan to chunk the old air cleaner box. The poor beast had 92,000 miles on her and the plugs were rusted tight; I stripped one and had to heli-coil it. But i got new ones, and new wires, and a coil, but no rotor cap.I'm also gonna check for oil leaks as I'm losing about 2 quarts per 3,000 miles..
Distributor and rotor, plugs and wires. Coil? Not necessarily unless you want a cool looking one. If you do the new intake get the breather too. Do yourself a favor and search the site for each part. I could not bear to start a new thread called magnaflow cats, or flowmaster super 44. Seemslike everyone does that instead of search. I do not like toimpact my budget,so I am buying the parts and holding on to them.Youcan buy a bunch of junk all at one time, or get great stuff a little at a time. This is how you should buy furniture by theway.
Have fun. You may want to request a catalog from Summit, Jegs, LMT truck, JCWhitney etc.
One great tip was to turntheopen end of the spark plug so that it pointed to the fuel injector. I guess you have to mark it and fuss with it a little.
The first time I changed my plugs was at 127k, and I did not need to. I plan to do it at 200k just because.
