Default 2nd gen Tow Mirrors

I was thinking about getting some towing mirrors for my Ram. I found these at Geno's. Has anyone ever used these? If so, do you like em?

My coworker runs those on his 01 3500. I've never heard him say he has had any problems. I personally don't care for the look: I think they look likeford mirrors and don't lookright on the dodge.I opted for these:

I gave up my power & defrost option but I'm still happy with my choice.

I have those on my 1500, i like them but i think I would rather have the stock ones that came with the truck so i can use the defroster.
They come in handy around here in the winter.
I do like the towing mirrors because they are nice and large and have the bubble mirror that covers the blind spot... just wish they were electric.

You can order those ones with electric and heat, says so in the description. They look like the same kind a guy from work had on his V10 ram, don't think they ever gave him any trouble...ive though of upgradingto something like this as well nice find mayfair.

Yes, I wish mine had the electic/heat, but they were on the truck when i got it (used). So I didn't have a choice. But for the extra $$$ I would look around for them in a used parts center (junk/salavage yard). I have seen the duallys with them, think it might be a towing package thing.
I do like the dual post look (as in the F series trucks use).

My dad has a set of these on his 3500 Dodge. They work great.

I like the built in blinker, but not much of a fan of its styling.

I'd LOVE to see a pic of the mirrors I posted installed on a 2nd gen. I can't find one anywhere.

I personally don't see how anyone could pay $329 for a set of mirrors. I tow a lot and checked into getting some and quickly decided to go this route once I found out how high tow mirrors cost. When your towing, you can't tell the difference from inside the vehicle. I just slide them on when I hook up the trailer, and slide the off when the trailer gets unhooked. There is no way they will come off while driving unless you hit something. They have a clean look to them and you get to keep all of your oem features like heaters and adjust from inside.
