it seams not to have been mentioned yet.. but are they on correctly?

they are directional.. inlet/oulet is really inlet outlet..flowmaster stamps them right on the outer casing...(although i have seen some come with little orange stickers instead of factory stamping).. it wouldnt sound correct if they were installed backwards

did a flowmaster (single insingle out ) on my buddies chevy truck years ago.. used band clamps (god send!!) .. cut the old muff out and threw the flow up in there.. not payin attentionand it sounded like a wet fart.. drove it for a month before we got back underthere and figured it out

worth a shot to make sure they are installed correctly.. were they welded or clamped into place?

oh.. im with the guy that thinks its silly for a muffler to break in.. but for giggles -when it breaks in..be sure to grease the muffler bearings!

Yeah, flowmasters do not break in over time. There is no packing material in them suprisingly. I also think that a huge part of your problem 85 is that you did run straight pipes. That's a Huge deal lol. You defiantly would feel a little dissapointed if you were running those and then the 44s. But you should only be dissapointed in the loudness department. The tone is an incredible factor. I guarantee your flybys are so much cooler now. When the exhaust tips pass somebody and the 44s go growling by, it leaves a much cooler signature tone in their ears, and its awesome. I think you should firstly give us some videos, so we can see if your just crazy. Then, if its rough, gut them cats bro! I know you bought them, but so did I, and I was like just like hell, I want this system to be as loud as can be, and ****, it really kicked it up an extra crazy notche! But get us some videos bro!

I got my exhaust dumped with a glasspack and a 5in tip and I think it sounds way better than any Super 44 ever will. I don't know maybe its just because I like to be ungodly loud hahaha... disturb the peace![8D]
