You must go infinity, love the sound and they are somewhat affordable. Get the kappas if you can afford them. Don't pay msrp though, If you know anyone that works at an electronics store that sells them you might be able to get them close to half off.
no, Pioneers fit well. I'm running some Pioneer 3 ways from Best Buy in my truck and man they sound great! Granted I am running them off a 4 channel 400 watt Clarion amp as opposed to the factory wires

I have Infinity's and sound great.
The key here is to get the right sound from your set up. If they are your primary speaker, you will need good highs and lows from them. If you plan on putting subs or other form of bass in the back of the cab then you will be more concerned with the highs they put out. Use amps or just the power from the deck??Go to a couple of places and try a few out. Everyone has different preferences on the sound they like.
Me I started out with Eclipse 6X9's and they had both. They were the old design and expensive..I blew the woofer lead wire twice and decided that I needed another form of bass. Put in the sub box and went looking for a set with good highs. The infinity's have great highs and decent bass too. Polks were Close but not as good with the highs. This was before they both changed their design so they are probably different now. Enough rambling, just go hear a few and see what sounds good to you. Just make sure they are using a system close to how your setup will be so the comparison is close....
