Default Super 40 vs Original 40

Well it appears that i am going to have to buy a muffler myself. So im going to probably get the Super 40 series is what i seem to like the most. But im also curious to hear your opinions on both the mufflers, what you like and dont like about the super 40 and original 40 series. This is just for opinions.

Well... i think that sums it up 20dodge LOL. thank you for the response. I want it to be loud but have the tone. If you dont mind me asking how much is the super 44 si/do 3"/2.5" out? I like yours but again you have the 360. But im stil going to see what other people say. I still think i want the super 40 but i want to hear more opinions.

Oh and if you look on flowmasters site, then go to sound clips look at the original 40 series where it shows the bar graph of the loudness then look at the super 40. If you loo kcarefully the super 40 is louder exterior wise and slightly louder inside the cab. I think im going to stick by what i originally wanted and thats the super 40 series.
The super 40 is not louder than the original 40 on a 360 engine. A friend had the original40 on his 360 and I had the super 40 on my 360 and his was by far louder than mine inside and out. You will be wasting money on the super 40. I wasted $200 on the super 40 when it was suppose to be louder and have more tone. I would listen to 20dodge and go with the 44 or super 44. It will be the best money you will ever spend for an exhaust. I am going to get myself the 44 when i get around to getting the headers and everything else.

Well i have the 318 motor. And ive heard from many people the super 44 isnt that loud or deep as say the original 40 series. Its also cheaper, and flowmaster still says its the loudest muffler. So i might just go with the original as in its a little cheaper and louder. And i havent heard a magnaflow sound that loud on a 5.2 or 5.9 for that matter. But i think im going to go with the original 40 series. But lets see what other people have to say about the super 40.

Can't go wrong with the original 40

Hopefully someone will post a clip of their super 40 for ya.

We sound like black people sitting around talking about 40s

I have the 44 on mine. Definitely not a quiet muffler...course, not having a cat and the 3" si/so is probably contributing as well...buwahahaha

Well i think im going to go with the original 40 series. Its old school type of muffler so its going to sound good. But the super 44 does sound good too lol. But i think me and cereal talked a little about it and we both thought the super 44 was quieter than the original 40 series. So i think im going to go with that (original 40 series)
