Changing pitman/idler arm
Well I tried loosening up these guys for 30-45 min, and nothing budged. I have to be doing something wrong, so here's a pic of the Kit I have. I put the large puller under the pitman and moved it about 1/2 an inch, then nothing. I don't have a deep enough 3/4 socket to get to the two bolts on the idler, so that wasn't touched beside the castle nut and cotter pin being removed.

I dont have any torch like that, and there's some oily stuff that IDK what it is or where it came from, so I don't want to start a fire, lol. I'm using the same hammer I used for my Ball joints, the one i got about 3 weeks into the mess that made things go muchhhh easier.
Now there is a big bolt under the pitman arm, do I need to loosen/remove that? It's a big one so I'd have to go get a socket to cover it. or use a pipe wrench.

IDK If it is just me, it seems like The pitman will only move down as far as it can because of the way it's lodged in there. Do I have to drop the whole tie rod setup? Should I take out the TRE so the Pitman can drop further? It's hard for me to explain, and that's why I'm asking so many questions.
take the tire rod end off of the pitman arm before removing the the pit man arm. get a crescent wrench and put it on the nut, then take it off then measure the distant between the jaws. that should give you what size wrench or socket you will need. I would atleast get a 1/2 drive breaker bar with a pipe on it for leverage

Ok, I'm assuming that's the "back" of the arm. I couldn't get it to budge after banging on it, pulling on it, and it had no play in it. Kinda ticked now because I tore up the rubber boot trying to get it off.
