Have you tried checking the oil pressure sending unit? It may be crapping out on you.

try changing out the sending unit. that if the motor is not knocking along with the presure drop. Chance are the sending unit failed or is failing. I had one go on a road trio aqnd like to S!@# when I seen the presure drop to zero at 70 mph. Turned out to be the sending unit.

hey my pressure drop occurs with ticking. the pressure drops only after I have driven some and the engine is starting to warm-up. but the longer i drive the pressure drops off quicker and stays out longer after i come to a stop and let the engine idle until I have no pressure at all.
