Default Why is this truck so slow?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9993Xocraho&NR=1

I dont get it, I have 35" tires with average gearing (4.10)...and I'm just getting under 8 seconds. I only have a catback exhaust right now, and THATS IT. I assume once the headers and y-pipe are installed tomorrow, and I get an intake system as well, that time should only be quicker. What are your guys' 0-60 times? And INDY RAMS dont count!!!

That one is slow becasue its ****ty probably.

Alot of them are slow for some odd reason.
I bet your 0-60 time isnt 8 sec though, you have to remember that you have over size tires and when your going 55 the speedo might say 60... I dont know the actuall difference.

Same thing goes with gears, but since the offroad CAME with those gears that would already have been tooken care of...

I'd think that, but my computer has been recalibrated from the dealer for the tires. Hmm

Could be alot of things, his truck could simply have the 'death flash'. Maybe he has a plenum leak or a bad cat. Honestly though his speedo climb looks on par with mine, I think I'll go test it tomorrow (just for kicks). If you get a chance 20Dodge post a vid of your 0-60 for us.

I def. will do that. I'm gonna shoot a video of the truck's exhaust before I drop it off and a 0-60. Then I'm gonna shoot the same videos again after the truck has the headers and y-pipe in.

0-60 in 8 seconds? I have never ever timed it, guess what I am doing on tomorrows commute in to work. I just did a quick fix on the tranny shifting issue, see the DIY fix in my signature. So, now it will go in to 2nd gear as its supposed to. I just got back in from looking at my PCM, luckily none of the signature markings of a flashed PCM. I realize its not making as much power as it did back in 98, and its not as powerful as other trucks its size.I don't plan on winning any pink slips, but I just like to see how my truck compares to others.
With the exception of the Jet unit, once you connect it and flash it, you don't need it connected any more right? So, what are all these people doing with their $350 units? Maybe someone has one laying around that they aren't using!?!??? *hint*

Jet Chips are a piggy back so you would have to leave them on. Hypertech and Superchip are both reprogrammers. With the reprogamers after you reprogram the computer the unit isn't good for anything until you take the programming off.
