I had Sirius for the house a few years ago and liked it quite a bit it would have been even better if it was in the car, but when we got the new Accord it came with XM installed. I canceled my Sirius as I didn't see the need to pay for both of them. Well, after the 90 day trial with XM I cut it off too. I just didn't like it and couldn't find much music I liked. I like Rock, Rap, Country, most anything and it just didn't seem to play a lot of popular songs while I was listening to it like Sirius did.

If the Honda had Sirius instead of XM I would have probably kept my subscription. I don't want a extrenal box like above so I gave it up.

On my truck I've thought about adding it but I mainly just listen to CD's so it isn't a big deal. While I did like it I didn't like paying monthly for it so thats the main reason I haven't gotten it again.

Love Sirius also. Got it when howard moved over, and I also had a long commute. now that my commute is shorter I listen to the 90's alternative rock, and kids stuff (I got kids... LOL).

I left the antenna on the dash, no reception issues at all. Using the stock mounting suction cup thing. I'd take a pic, but its nothing worth posting.

silver_dodge.....are u planning on maketing that bracket....????
Nope, but it is very easy to make. Just takes a few tweaks so that it doesn't rub the plastic bezel trim of the dash (over time that could make a nasty scratch). I bought the peice I cut up and bent at Lowes.

Would very much like to see how you did it, including wire routing.
check out the cardomain page for the ram, I have pics posted there. (I'm not sure how to post pics on the forum)
All the wiring is behind the headliner, and down the driver's piller. The antena wire crosses over on the drivers side just above the hinge and then goes up the window trim.

I sawa 3rd gen ram with the sat radiobuilt right in to the A pillar yesterday. Looked really sweet.
I don't know if it was a custom job or if he bought an accessory kit but it looked really nice.

There is an adapter that you can buy to make the factory installed xm run sirius I think it costs like 100 but worth it. it will work thru the radio just like the xm but you get sirius not sure where to pick it up but i'll look and get back to you . i've had mine since dec 05 and i love it to death
