NO! Way too much if you ask me, it is a work truck, it does not apear to be in too great of condition, it was city owned so you know its worked everyday of its life, those guys beat on the things too because they arent their trucks. I would steer clear of that one. For MPG in a 2500 like that, you are looking at about 10-12 TOPS for city driving.

Generally speaking govt. owned vehicles are great. I have bought three and had no issues. All of them had extensive maintenance records showing oil changes every 2500 miles. I personally think the v8 doesnt have enough power to get out of its own way, but of course the mileage is going to hurt in any quadcab....

i dont think it a good deal because 71000 miles on a city owned vehicule is like 171000 on any other pickup you have to many people driving it they dont care about it. it aint their pickup. but that is just myopinion because i work for a oh town and see how they take care of them. and for the light its worth a little if you can find any one who wants a strobe. and the head ach rack in the bed helps protect the back glass if you cut wood . you can scrap it and get 40.00 out of it

You guys are retarded.
Some geriatric guy driving the truck with a bunch leaves and a lawnmower in the back going 30 in a 35 is not gonna tear up the truck. Take it to a mechanic. Look at maintenance records. Then you will see how torn up it is. You can't say that the people driving it tore it to **** because it was a city vehicle--that's just stupid. It would make more sense not to buy a car that someone under 40yrs old owned instead of not buying a car that a city govt. owned....wtf.
And no, the light is worth nothing more than its value as a paperweight.

what do you think i do. that is why i told him it wasnt worth it. these trucks idle more than run down the road and thats harder on them than hammering on them. if it was such a good truck then why are they getting rid of it seeming how every city in ohio is running out of money you would think they wuold keep it a while longer. and city records aint kept as good as you think

Dont get the ferd, you will reget it! In a year you will be come back and say how you should have waited! BE PATIENT! Deals dont come overnight, you have a car that runs and you can drive, just take your time and watch for your truck instead of jumping on everyone that you see.
