Here an idea , did you ever think that maybe the CEL light bulb is burnt ? or maybe the last person who sold the truck knew there was a CEL and took the bulb out ??? These could be why you are not seeing this.

I'd put the stock manifolds back on and put new front and rear O2 sesnors on it that you don't have to extend and hope it runs right and leave it alone.

It's defiantly a possibility, but as Silver said, some codes don't throw cel lights. As for putting the manifolds back on, that thought makes me sick lol. But the fact xskyline hasn't had these issues with his headers, means it something that was done wrong with the installation, and not the product. I will not quit till I get to the bottom of this. It's always been my dream to have a big v8 truck with a big chip on its shoulder with a loud powerful bark. I am heallbeant on making these headers work, because once they do, I know the truck will be at another level. Im confident the mechanic will fix the issue now since it is the focal point. And if he doesn't fix it, then he has some issues. I told him I want the truck to run like it did before the headers, period. I mean there is only got to be a certain amount of things that are causing the truck to do this that could happen during a header job. He knows the truck ran mint before the headers, and now....it doesn't. It isn't like my truck has some special disease lol, all our dodges are the same, theres no reason my headers shouldnt work. So I'm confident I can stir him in the right direction. The best thing I can do is keep ****ting rolling and be friendly but stern. There is no use in getting hostile with him, all that will do is make it so he will refuse to work on the truck. So I'm getting the truck over there tonight, and he can have a field day working on it until it runs right. I mean he isthe guy who did the work, he knows what he did, and what he could have possibly overseen. Nobody else is on a better page with this than he his, so it is what it is...but tomorrow I'd like to have an idea of where to lead him in the right direction.

it will end up fine in the long run, this is just one of those problems that are easy to fix, but are easilly overlooked. id say start with and o2 sensor and tune up and go from there.

let us know what happens

Sometimes there are codes that are stored that dont throw a light.

List for me what you or your mechanics have tried so far...because as far as I can tell, no one has tried anything to fix it...just turned you away.

Does the CEL light up whn you start the truck? I don't know if you said that or not... 132 and 138 are O2 sensors.... nobody makes one that has longer wires? When you had to have it spliced, did they splice the wire between the sensor and the connector? or between the connector and the pcm? If it's between the sensor and the connector... maybe you can reroute the wires from the pcm to the connector so that you get a little more slack... IDK just my .02 hope you get this thing going it's a good truck!

I dont understand something.. You said you want it to run like it use to, which would be stock, Yet you want a loud powerful sound...No offense but why get headers just for the sound??

HOLY FUKING ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! put some o2 sims on the bitch, and call it good ... if that will work.....seems like you aint getting nowhere with this, what can be so bad that "nobody wants to work on your truck?!!!!!!!!!!" if it was me i would put the old manifolds back on(which im sure you dont have and the exhaust shop threw them away)and get new o2 sensors to see if thats fixes the problem.... start back at square one............[sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=bomb.gif][sm=dontgetit.gif][sm=headbang.gif][sm=icon_beat.gif][sm=icon_rtfm.gif][sm=icon_rtfm.gif][sm=icon_rtfm.gif][sm=icon_rtfm.gif][sm=icon_rtfm.gif][sm=icon_rtfm.gif][sm=icon_rtfm.gif][sm=imsorry.gif][sm=jawdrop.gif][sm=jawdrop.gif][sm=jawdrop.gif][sm=jawdrop.gif][sm=shootshoot.gif][sm=violin.gif][sm=wtf.gif][sm=WTFsgign.gif]

Its not like its pig rich, I can just tell its a little rich. No offense (seriously) I'm just not in the mood to fight about it. Mechanics I've talked to that work on Dodge tell me thata badrear O2 will cause the truck to not run ideally. That it will f the mixture up because the front and rear need to work together. I got the feeling your definately right about a rear O2 (or sim)not fixinga super rich condition.
Well let me know how it goes. It's better to find out I'm wrong then for me to not kow at all

When you get the truck back the first thing you need to do it this. Hold the odometer reset button down and turn the igntion on. Watch wich lights come on. Check for the light that looks like an engine. If that dosn't come on then you have a burnt bulb and there could have been other codes that you didn't know about before you reset the PCM.Next turn the key off and then back to the ignition on postion three time then watch the odemeter and write down any codes you get.Next go down to the tool shop and buy an O2 remover. It's basically a funny shapped socket. Then Jump under the truck and switch the rear O2 sensor with the Front O2 sensor and see how it runs. Don't just switch there positions. Dissconect them and reconnect them in the differnt positions.IT should only take about 15-20 mins. Then reset the PCM. Then drive the truck and post your results. If you don't do this then there is nothing this forum can do for you. This is one of the first dignostic steps to find out what is wrong with the truck. I understand you don't have time or money for alot of crap but you are spending way more time and money by not trying these basic steps.
