damn that keg came from an 97 ? wont work on my 96 egr ...but if i send you an 96 keg you can mod it for me silver...lol

Sure. I'll do that for you, and in exchange, you can build me an aluminum fan shroud like you just build and put on your truck.

I think silver and PA have a deal. Hmmmm, maybe I will go to the junkyard, stock up on intakes, and start grinding keggers for sale on DF.

You could do that.. but rember this will take some time till silver done testing and tweaking and till i build 1 hell it willbe spring..lol , or unless silver finds me a keg for a 96 out there , we will get more in detal IN PM....

Like I said, i'll be doing a complete DIY on this topic with lots more pics, but wanted to show you all what it turned out like now that I am done. I'll be installing the APS plenum kit onto it tomorrow, then installing it into the truck on Saturday. I'm very happy with how it turned out. Anxious to see how it performs. If I could do it over again, i'd get one that was from the same year as my truck. Otherwise, it was a nice little project. Anyway, here it is:

I'm interested to hear how it all works out.
From what I know about intake design, long runners are good for low RPM torque.
Short runners or an open plenum design favours higher RPM horsepower.
So I'm wondering if this mod will just shift your power band into a slightly higher range or if there will be additional benefits.
