its an all around good engine and i am very happy with it... the one i know with the most miles.. is an 04 at 175K all original he is a member on another forum... and i know a couple that are up there in miles.. like any engine it has its lows... but yes i am very happy with mine as are many others.. it tows great, works great, plays GREAT!

Heh, you ain't lyin'. The fastest one I've seen so far runs a 13.60 in the 1/4. Pretty good for a truck, but it doesn't look like anyone seriously hot rods these engines the way the Magnum 5.9 is.

But hell a5.9 with every bolt on mod you can put on it still won't have the same power as a 5.7 hemi stock.

i believe the HEMI is probably one of the best engines out there, granted it will never be as awesome as the original 427(which is alot of hype to) both the current and the old school are way over marketed and have more hype than a spice girls reunion tour. but serisouly you cant hate on it because of that. I was valet in Dallas and let me tell you i ahve driven the S**t out some hemi's ever been in an SRT-8 grand cherokee... DAMN! SRT-8 charger? yeah those things haul!
as far as the RAMS they are beasts maybe not as quick as some would like but i would take it over a 5.9. i love my 5.9 but more power all the way around = better palce to start when modding.
personally i wouldnt waste my time with the hemi i would go straight to CUMMINS!! but thats a different story
