Heh, you ain't lyin'. The fastest one I've seen so far runs a 13.60 in the 1/4. Pretty good for a truck, but it doesn't look like anyone seriously hot rods these engines the way the Magnum 5.9 is.

they are still slow as snails
. Too bad the ram didnt come with a 6.1 (which is what i was refering to in that thread) cant recall ever getting beat by any hemi ram before i put the cam in...and cant recall any hemi wanting to race me after

Like i said on there...its harder to make the 360s faster...the aftermarket isnt there like it is for the hemi. It takes some more skill, which is why there arent as many hot rodded 5.9s and whatnot out there as there are 5.7s...someone did all the work for you. No one really has to figgure anything out for themselves.

Who did all the work for me?? what are you talking about? I know plenty of hemi rams that wouldn't have a problem in the world racing you....

I know plenty of geo metros that would like to race me in my current state. When I get going again, send some of those hemis my way. Aint seen one yet that wants to tango.
quick ?
How much can you tow with your truck INDy, im sure as hell that you can't out tow a hemi
2 wheel drive= race, heavy hauling
4 wheel drive=heavy hauling, playin in the mud
I dont believe dodge had the idea that everyone who bought a hemi would be planning to run it down the strip everyday

I don't know when I was looking at a new truck year and a half ago or so I looked at the hemi's and they felt slower to me than my truck that had 33"s with very few performance mods. I was dissapointed and it made me want to keep my truck. The reason I'd thought about selling as I got offered a very high amount for my truck and thought about upgrading.
not a problem.. i know plenty of em... but i find it rather inane that you want to try and make hemi's look bad... what do you have against them... because they have a good aftermarket? go to krcperformance there is plenty for a 5.9... no matter what you build there is always someone faster..
I think if I ever buy a 3rd gen Dodge I'll probably skip the hemi for the cummins since I'll have to buy a 2500 or 3500 anyway.
Another regular cab short bed 1500 with a hemi would be great, but dodge is retarded and put independent front suspenion on them so that's right out of the picture. The last thing I feel like doing is buying a new truck and immidiatley having to swap a solid axel in there which is a major PITA.
I think in about 4 or 5 years I'll start looking a 2005 CTD. They screwed the body design up in 2006. and I don't ever see myself buying the crap they're supposedly putting out in 2009.

I never said anything about hauling...besides that should be left to the cummins anyways.
