RE: Does anyone have a Scanguage II?
i have one of these, they work pretty damn well. the only complaint that i would have is that the velco it comes with SUCKS. another thing i noticed was that it seemed like my gas mileage went down like 1 or 2 miles but it just could of been a fluke but i love it, i have all the wires rapped behind the dash and just sticking out infront of the gauges the mpg changes with the slightest touch to the pedal but my average is 12.5 mpg and i have the 5.9 360 2wd

I got one for Christmas. Set-up is real easy....plug & play! it will tell you INSTANT and AVG MPG's. You can put in your engine displacement and fuel costs. It has a customizable guage configuration. It will tell you throttle position, intake air temps, spark advance, speed, RPM's, Gal/hr usage, manifold air press., and many other OBDII enabled functions. It only works on OBDII equipted (1996> vehicles.
I will get about 13mpg avg with my 99' 5.9L, QuadCab 4x4. But, I have seen it hold 18mpg instant milage at 55mph on level roads @ 30*F. These are ScanGuage readings....the 13mpgseems to jive with my "old-school" calculation method (drive 100 miles, re-fill the tank).
This is my second green 99' Ram QC. The first oneI bought brand new, and paid $20K more![:@]....but with the price of gas and 115K miles...
I work for Chrysler and got to try some mods that the Dyno-Guys" recommended on my 1st truck. FIPK, MSD multi-spark ignition, Ram V-10 catalyst, Flowmaster 40 series muffler w/duals. I gained low and mid-range power, but only got 14mpg at best. I'll do the same for my present truck....
I'll post pics and mods whenI get a chance....busy at work (lots of guys taking buy-out packages and same amount of work still needs to get done)![:@]

I was looking into one for those long trips while at cruise'n speed. That way I could watch and fix my speed to save gas. Plus I could get my actual mph when I swap my tires. Honestly its a little too much $$ for me. I'll wait for one to show up in the classifieds section.
