Also I would love to know which X-guage settings will grab the transmission temperatures . From what I remember you need to know what parameters (from the factory in hex) which will grab the trans temperature from the ecu, it varies by year, engine and model.
Sounds great, but read the post directly above yours.

Yes, but many X-guages are floating around that are not provided by the company itself, if you can find someone who understands the target Dodge ECU you just need to know where to poke to get the transmission probe information (if the truck even has one)

I would love to reprogram my ECU to lean out a bit once I am up to highway speeds like the european trucks do, gains about 20% on mileage. The ideal (mpg wise) ratio is 16.7:1, it only works for steady state and increases Nox 20%. If you need to accelerate your ratio needs to drop between 12 & 14.7:1

Cheers

Interesting, if you can find the trans temp Xgauge and other reprogramming codes, be sure to post here, does the Horsepower gauge work? Did the unit help you get any better mileage by monitoring your fuel consumption?

As for the trans temp, I am going with Silver Dodge's setup, should be here tomorrow along with the ScanGauge2.

Bringing this back from the dead, has anyone figured out the commands to get the trans temperature?

Would this work with the SCT tuner? I figured it would, but don't know if it would interfere with anything.

Yep. It just reads stuff from the various sensors on the truck.

Scangauge is just reading the data stream from the pcm, it doesn't care what tune is on it.

Since there is a trans overheat light, shouldn't the scangauge be able to tap into that signal? Or is that light basically a dummy light
