if it has been leaking a while then you can just look at the underside of the butterflies. covered in thick nasty? replace plenum gasket.

That's only if it's a bad leak. I used to look in mine whenever I changed the air cleaner and it was clean as a whistle. Until one day I took off the TB for some reason(I forget) and looked with a mirror and light. And sure enough I had a nice large puddle of clean Mobil1 in the corner. LOL And it wasn't from the PCV valve.

i gotcha...the only experience i have had was with mine...guess that means mine was leaking pretty bad.

mine was more a a lake than a pool...lol

yeah, sometimes just looking down the TB doesn't cut it.

Like I always tell people...

If it is a 1994-2001 model year pickup truck, and it says Dodge on the side, it has a leaking plenum gasket.

So if my truck it totally de-badged, does that mean i am safe from that problem?
